Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today opened an exhibition at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025), showcasing the state’s industrial growth, opportunities, and investment potential.
He was accompanied by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and other state ministers at the launch function.
Kerala’s various industrial sectors, ranging from traditional industries to innovative startups focused on future technologies, from MSMEs to Ayurveda and health food, are on display.
The two-day IKGS 2025 event at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre features 105 stalls. The exhibition showcases 22 priority sectors of Kerala and captures the audience with its diversity and presentation style.
“The exhibition illustrates the industrial landscape of Kerala, as anticipated by the investor community,” said Shri P Rajeeve, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir. “This showcases the state’s progress in its industry-friendly policies, welcoming investors with open arms.”
The micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contributing to the state’s industrial progress include those in the food processing, manufacturing, and rubber sectors. The Ayurveda and healthcare sectors encompass a wide range of products, including traditional massage tables, Ayurveda travel kits, and health food.
The indigenously built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, a symbol of national pride, greets visitors at the Cochin Shipyard pavilion. A model of the country’s first water metro also attracts visitors.
A special stall showcases the potential and opportunities of the Vizhinjam port. The private sector Samudra Shipyard from Alappuzha highlights investment opportunities within the state’s maritime and boat building sector.
Installing the BrahMos supersonic missile on the Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft was a complex process in defence technology. BrahMos’s Thiruvananthapuram centre showcases this remarkable achievement of India.
State government institutions such as the Kerala Coir Development Corporation, Keltron, Kerala State Bamboo Mission, Hantex, Khadi, Cashew Development Corporation, Kerala Soaps, and K-Fon showcase the public sector’s prowess.
The exhibitions of the state’s proud startups like Genrobotics and Irov Technologies are also impressive. The star of the segment is the Bandicoot robot, which has revolutionised cleaning utility holes and helps end manual scavenging.
Irov Tuna, a drone that can go up to 300 metres deep and help conduct underwater research, is also on display. Fuselage Innovation, an agricultural drone manufacturer that has received export orders from countries like the UK, has also displayed its products.
The exhibition highlights Kerala as home to India’s most vibrant startup ecosystem. Notable startups, including XR Horizons, Centrif, Natya, Zpods, Roomindo, DockerVision, Bhushan’s Junior, Akkri, Entri, WebCRS, Qourt, Drizilin, Banzan Studio, Prophase, Growcons, and CITSA Technologies, have their stalls here.
World-class healthcare product manufacturing companies from the state are also participating in the exhibition. Products from companies such as Agappe, Dentcare Lab, and Nitta Gelatin, which manufacture medical equipments, devices and medicare products are on display. A patient assistance robot developed by Astrek Innovation is attracting visitors’ attention.
Other participants include leading players in the footwear, coir, plantation, tourism and construction industries, electrical crane manufacturers, and automotive sectors.
