FHTR Elects New Management Committee for 2026–28; Surendra Singh Shahpura Appointed President

The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) has elected its new Management Committee for the 2026–2028 term at its Annual General Meeting held on 8 January 2026 in Jaipur. The General Body unanimously endorsed the new leadership, reflecting strong unity within the federation and a shared vision for the future of Rajasthan’s tourism and hospitality sector.

Shri Surendra Singh Shahpura has been elected as President of FHTR, while Shri Tarun Kumar Bansal will serve as Secretary General for the 2026–28 term. The executive leadership team also includes Mr. Rajendra Singh Pachar as Senior Vice President, Mr. Gyan Prakash and Mr. Mahendra Singh Rathore as Vice Presidents, Mr. Rajendra Singh Jodha as Treasurer, and Mr. Hemant Mittal as Joint Secretary.

Founder Member Shri Bhim Singh will continue to guide the federation as President Honour. Founder Members Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Mr. Rishipal Singh, Mr. Khalid Khan, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Mr. Ajay Agarwal, Ms. Aditi Singh, and Mr. Angad Deo Mandawa remain integral to the Management Committee, ensuring continuity and strategic direction. Ms. Madhuwanti Singh was also present at the meeting. The newly elected Managing Committee Members include Mr. Satinder Pal Singh, Mr. Deependra Rana, Mr. Shailendra Singh, Mr. Manish Bhatia, and Mr. Jitendra Singh Rathore.

Expressing gratitude upon his election, President Surendra Singh Shahpura said he was deeply honoured by the trust placed in him and reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to strengthening Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and constructive engagement with stakeholders. He emphasised the need for inclusive growth, proactive policy advocacy, and positioning Rajasthan as a leading global tourism destination.

FHTR reiterated its commitment to serving as the unified voice of the state’s tourism and hospitality industry, working closely with government bodies and industry partners to promote Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and vast tourism potential on national and international platforms.
