Kerala has made great progress in business friendliness through the collective work of government departments: Minister M.B. Rajesh

The joint work of government departments and a healthy sense of competition among them have enabled Kerala to remain at the top of the business friendliness index for a long time, said Local Government and Excise Minister M.B. Rajesh. He was speaking while inaugurating a seminar on ‘Practical Implementation and Governance of Business Friendlyness at the Grassroots Level’ at the India International Industrial Expo being held at the Adlux International Convention Centre, Kochi. The minister added that the local government department has also shown a good role in this progress by showing activities that can be claimed.

“It is a matter of great pride that most of the suggestions and issues raised earlier regarding the changes to be made in local bodies have been resolved. Apps like K-Smart and K-Swift are now available to avoid delays in obtaining a license. Moreover, comprehensive amendments have been made to the municipal bylaws and building construction bylaws to further assist industries. The aim of this government is to pave the way for progress in the ease of doing business in our state and thereby bring it to the forefront in ease of living,” the minister said.

Minister for Industries, Commerce, Law and Coir P. Rajeev visited the Expo venue to view the exhibition. After visiting all the stalls at the Expo in detail, the Minister interacted with the industrialists and praised the Expo organizers. The Minister added that the India International Industrial Expo is an excellent exhibition that highlights the industry-friendly environment in Kerala and is also paving the way for entrepreneurs to achieve growth.

The Industrial Expo, organized by the Kerala State Small Industries Association and Metromart in collaboration with the Kerala Industries Department and the Union MSME Ministry, will conclude today. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Vyasa Mahasangamam, which will be attended by more than 10,000 KSSIA members from 14 districts of Kerala.

Ernakulam District Collector G. Priyanka IAS, Industries Directorate Additional Directors C.S. Simi and G. Rajeev were also present at the seminar discussion. Industries Department Director and KSIDC Managing Director P. Vishnuraj IAS also visited the expo.

The media’s major role in the growth of Kerala’s industrial sector was discussed at the media conclave held at the Expo.

The Media Conclave, held at the Expo on the theme “From Visibility to Credibility: How Media Shapes Business Success”, highlighted the growing synergy between the industry and media in Kerala.

The panelists highlighted that the media has long made a conscious effort to support startups, and technological advancements have brought about many fundamental changes in it. Online platforms are now providing a global platform for entrepreneurs, removing the constraints of time and space.

The discussion highlighted the need for a change in the way businesses communicate their values ​​to achieve long-term sustainability. The panelists recommended that enterprises should move beyond traditional methods in favor of creative new narratives to differentiate themselves in the market. The aim, the sessions concluded, is to ensure that the state’s industrial sector moves towards greater credibility and long-term sustainability.
