Entrepreneurs and investors should not be treated as enemies of the State, opined VD Satheesan, the Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly. Emphasizing the importance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for the economic growth of the country and the State, he stated that the establishment of more small and medium enterprises is essential for the development of both rural and urban areas.
He called for government support and promotion of MSMEs while speaking at the Metro MSME Conclave at the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, held in celebration of International MSME Day.
The event, organized jointly by Metro Mart and the Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP) and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), featured seminars on various topics. Renowned maritime expert Nanu Viswanathan spoke on the potential of Vizhinjam port.
SIDBI Deputy General Manager PR Savisesh and Manager Jio Payus discussed various MSME schemes.
