Governor to open two-day TRIMA 2025 on July 30
The July 30-31 annual management convention of Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), TRIMA-2025, will come out with a roadmap to tap the state capital region’s potential to emerge as a centre of excellence to groom future-ready leadership to pivot Kerala’s economic and social development.
Kerala Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will inaugurate the convention at Hotel O by Tamara on July 30 at 5 pm, setting the stage for an impressive line-up of speakers to share their ideas and perspectives on a range of topics on sustainable socio-economic development of Kerala, with a special focus on the capital city.
“Leadership for an Emerging World – Navigating Technology, Entrepreneurship, & Social Well-being” is the central theme of the event, coinciding with TMA’s Ruby Jubilee.
Air Marshal Manish Khanna, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Southern Air Command, Indian Air Force will deliver the keynote address on Strategic Leadership under Challenging Circumstances while the ‘TMA-NIMS CSR Award 2025’; the ‘TMA-Adani Startup Award and the ‘TMA KIMSHEALTH Theme Presentation Award’ will also be presented at the inaugural session.
“A key focus of this edition of TRIMA is to come out with a roadmap on tapping the state capital’s potential to emerge as a centre of excellence for shaping future-ready business leaders by leveraging the unique strengths of the ecosystem such as a highly qualified talent pool, world class infrastructure and the presence of major institutions,” TMA President Shri G Unnikrishnan said
“Building a centre of excellence has to start from school level before moving on to college and further to institutions of higher and specialised learning. This conclave, based on the ideas and insights shared by the speakers, will seek to draw up a plan to carry the mission forward,”he said.
“This, however, does not mean that this an entirely city-centric vision. It is conceived as a path-breaking project from which the entire state stands to gain”, Shri Unnikrishnan added.
The deliberations will also spotlight on ramping up Kerala’s growth by integrating the state’s commendable social development achievements with economic progress by leveraging new technologies along with sustainable and responsible practices, in which future-ready leadership has a critical role to play, said Dr M Ayyappan, TRIMA Chairman and former CMD, HLL Lifecare.
As a platform for interdisciplinary exchange cutting across science, management, technology, and societal development, the meet will provide vivid glances into emerging leadership models tailored to volatile and complex global landscape which promises opportunities along with challenges, Dr Ayyappan added.

Her Royal Highness Pooyam Thirunal Gowri Parvathi Bayi will deliver the Valedictory Address at the closing ceremony of TRIMA 2025, while Shri TP Sreenivasan, Director General, Kerala International Centre, and former Ambassador of India & Governor for India of the IAEA, will deliver the Keynote Address and Shri Sushil Kumar, General Manager, State Bank of India (SBI), Thiruvananthapuram Circle will deliver the Special Address. Shri Suresh Kumar B, Sr. Vice President, TMA and former Executive Officer Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple will deliver the concluding remarks and propose the Vote of Thanks at the closing session.
