12 teams vie in Cyber Cricket LeagueSeason-1
The first edition of ‘Cyber Cricket League 2024’, modeled after the popular Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 tournament, got underwayinCyber Sports Arena at the government Cyberpark here.
As many as 12 franchises are participating in the tournament organized by Sahya Cricket Club of Cyberpark. The players, who are the employees of government Cyberpark, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and UL Cyberpark, had gone under the hammer through an auction app before being selected by each franchise as team members.
After the league matches, the final of ‘Cyber Cricket League 2024’ will be played on September 25. The teams participating in the tournament are Welkinwits, Phoenix Renegades, Team Utopia, Blackhawks, Abana Strikers, Thunderstorm Titans, Sahya Cricket Club, Falcon Flyers, Vinam, Mighty Smashers, Inglorious XI and Royal Strikers.
MrBijesh Adikarathu, Deputy Manager, Cyberpark; Mr Vineesh, Executive, Cyberpark and Mr Manu Murali, Director, Bpract Software Solutions were present at the inaugural match where Phoenix Renegades trounced Welkinwits by eight wickets.
