KITE 2025 Inaugurated: Showcasing Karnataka’s Tourism Potential

Sri Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, inaugurated the two-day Karnataka International Travel Expo. In his speech, he highlighted that the Western Ghats offer an exhilarating escape, while the state’s vibrant coastline provides tranquility and water sports. He emphasized that Karnataka has consistently ranked among the top tourist destinations in India.

“Karnataka is not just a destination; it is an emotion. It is where the past meets the future, where tradition blends with modernity, and where every visitor finds a place to connect,” said the Chief Minister.

He also discussed the multifaceted role of tourism, noting that it drives economic growth, creates employment opportunities, fosters cultural exchange, and supports sustainable development. Tourism helps generate livelihoods, ensuring that its benefits reach every part of the state, from bustling cities to remote villages.

A key to becoming a leading travel destination, he pointed out, is excellent connectivity and hospitality. Karnataka is at the forefront in this regard, having improved air connectivity with Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, while also upgrading road and rail networks to make travel seamless and enjoyable.

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of infrastructure development, world-class amenities, enhanced airport facilities, and improved public transport to ensure smooth travel. Additionally, he mentioned the state’s focus on skill development, with programs training local youth and women in high-quality tourism services to create employment opportunities.

Karnataka, he concluded, is one of the best states in India for tourism investment.
