By The Ramassery Idli Festival, organised by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), has begun at Sayahna Garden Restaurant, Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram. The festival, running from October 16 to 21, offers food lovers an opportunity to savour the authentic taste of the famous Ramassery Idli from Palakkad district.
Originating in Ramassery village in Elappully, Palakkad, Ramassery Idli is renowned for its distinctive taste, unique texture and traditional preparation method. The festival aims to showcase this regional culinary speciality and promote Kerala’s rich gastronomic heritage.
Visitors can enjoy the traditional delicacy at the restaurant between 3 pm and 10 pm throughout the festival period.
The initiative reflects KTDC’s efforts to promote Kerala’s diverse food traditions and introduce regional specialities to a wider audience, while offering residents and visitors in the capital an authentic taste of Palakkad’s culinary heritage.
