By The International Women’s Day celebrations in Kochi were marked by a vibrant bike rally and an inspiring sea voyage, organized jointly by Metro Mart and the District Promotion Council.
The women’s bike rally, which aimed to encourage female participation in the tourism sector, commenced from Bolgatty Palace in the morning and concluded at Marine Drive. Kochi City Police Deputy Commissioner Juvanapudi Mahesh IPS flagged off the rally, which saw enthusiastic participation from women riders.
The International Women’s Day celebration, held aboard the Classic Imperial Cruise at Marine Drive, was inaugurated by renowned chef Dr. Lakshmi Nair. The function was presided over by Kunnathunadu MLA Adv. P.V. Srinijin.
Prominent personalities, including Canara Bank Senior Manager Shameena M.P., Canara Bank Divisional Manager Mridula Mohan, Ernakulam DTPC Secretary Lijo Joseph, and Metro Mart Managing Director Siji Nair. Nair,Classic imperial Managing Director Nishy John graced the occasion with their presence.
Women achievers from various fields were honored for their outstanding contributions. A special sea voyage, hosted by Classic Imperial, celebrated the achievements of these inspiring women. The event concluded with a captivating musical performance by a leading music band, adding a festive touch to the Women’s Day celebrations.
