Hyatt Regency Thiruvananthapuram has set the stage for a heartwarming culinary celebration this monsoon with its ongoing food festival, ‘Dimsum Thing’. Since its launch on May 23, the ten-day festival has been delighting diners with an irresistible array of handcrafted dim sums. The fest runs until June 1 at The Oriental Kitchen, the hotel’s signature Pan-Asian restaurant.
“There’s something deeply nostalgic about enjoying warm, soulful food while it’s pouring outside. This dim sum fest is our tribute to that comforting feeling,” says Senthil Kumar, Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Thiruvananthapuram.
The specially curated menu features both classic favorites and contemporary interpretations of dim sums. Vegetarian highlights include corn and water chestnut dim sum, pokchoy golden garlic, smoked spinach dim sum, and the soft, flavorful mushroom bao.
Non-vegetarian options are equally enticing, with selections like chicken corn sumai, chicken coriander dim sum, lamb gyoza, delicate prawns sumai, and the indulgent Chilean sea bass dim sum. To round off the experience, the custard chocolate bao offers a sweet, satisfying finale.
Prepared with fresh, clean ingredients and naturally tinted with vegetable-based colors, each dim sum is steamed to perfection—making it the perfect monsoon companion. Served daily for lunch and dinner, the festival offers a cozy escape into a world of warm flavors and refined textures.
Guests are invited to savor this limited-time menu at The Oriental Kitchen before the festival concludes on June 1.
