Around 100 startups that transform innovative ideas into excellent products using cutting-edge technologies are participating in the expo as part of the Huddle Global 2024 that opened at the seaside getaway of Kovalam today.
They include startups in cutting-edge sectors such as Edutech, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Fintech, Life Science, SpaceTech, HealthTech, Blockchain, IoT, eGovernance and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
Also displayed are humanoid robots, autonomous drones, medical devices, and cost-saving technology products.
The startups showcase their unique products for investors worldwide, who visit the expo with separate zones for EmergingTech and DeepTech at the sixth edition of India’s flagship startup festival, organised by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
The DeepTech Zone includes knowledge sessions, a startup expo, and student innovations.
The event will provide an opportunity to understand technology’s future potential through practical experiences.
The Emerging Technology Zone showcases advancements in five sectors: energy, healthcare, digital media and entertainment, food and agriculture, and space.
Startups in areas such as augmented and virtual reality are unique attractions of the expo.
The expo also includes leading financial institutions, including the country’s largest public sector bank, the State Bank of India.
The expo features various startups testing new methods for biomedical waste treatment. Homegrown Genrobotics’s acclaimed products are also on display here, along with robotics giants like Toboid, Automate, Freeman Robotics, and Inker Robotics.
The ISRO stall entertains and informs visitors about Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan projects by displaying models.
Another attraction is the stall showcasing innovative products by women researchers and entrepreneurs.
From startups focusing on reducing carbon footprint and creating sustainable energy sources, AI-based assessment platforms, AI-based educational apps, mobile septage treatment units, and biosensors using graphene to those who produce friendly starch spray, build walls using eco-friendly materials, various hospitality solutions, automated invoice processing, all-in-one SaaS core banking software solutions, quantum-safe digital trust platform, automatic cargo surveillance drones, multi-purpose drones used in the agricultural sector and sustainability solutions food and agri supply chains, and value-added products from food and plant waste are also participating in the expo.
The expo introduces innovative technologies developed by the government, research and development institutions, and AR and VR experience centres.
Kerala Digital University, KSIDC, Institute of Kerala State Government’s Patent Information Center, which provides technical assistance and guidance on intellectual property, copyright, patent, design, and trademark, and C-DAC, which showcases chip technology, have also set up their stalls here.
The expo, which features products from various startups from within and outside Kerala, also allows startup entrepreneurs to interact with prominent investors in the technology and industrial sectors.
