The meeting also served as a platform to discuss critical issues affecting the tourism sector, including GST, visa-on-arrival for European tourists, direct international flights from Europe to Jaipur, and the management of Rajasthan’s historical monuments. The delegation included key figures such as Senior Vice President Surendra Singh Shahpura, Secretary General CA Virendra Singh, President of HRAR Tarun Bansal, Secretary of RATO Mohan Singh Mertia, and Secretary of HRAR Ranvijay Singh.

Spotlight on Wedding and Event Tourism

RDTM 2024, scheduled to take place from September 13 to 15 at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur, will highlight the emerging sector of Wedding, Incentive, Conference, and Event (WICE) tourism. The event, organized in collaboration with FHTR and the Rajasthan Tourism Department, will feature over 200 stalls showcasing more than 600 properties, attracting around 1,300 buyers and over 7,000 visitors.

Industry-Wide Support for RDTM 2024

The success of RDTM 2024 is underpinned by the support of several prominent industry bodies, including the Hotels and Restaurants Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO), Jodhana Hotels and Restaurants Association (JARA), and the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI). This collective effort aims to cement Rajasthan’s reputation as a premier destination for weddings and events, significantly boosting the state’s tourism industry.

A Platform for Diverse Tourism Opportunities

RDTM 2024 will provide a valuable platform for stakeholders to showcase their offerings across a variety of tourism sectors, including heritage, adventure, wildlife, pilgrimage, weddings, eco-tourism, and village tourism. The event will also feature B2B meetings, fostering business opportunities and networking among participants.
